About Us 

The Oromia Sovereign Fund (OSF) is a pivotal instrument to consolidate and strategically manage the economic assets and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) of the Oromia National Regional Government.

The OSF responds to the pressing need to enhance the financial and operational performance of SOEs, transition them into commercially managed entities, attract private sector participation, modernize governance structures, and align state investments with both regional and national development priorities.

Inspired by successful global models of sovereign investment funds, OSF aims to transform portfolio of regional SOEs into a high-impact, value-generating holding company that fosters inclusive development and industrial transformation. Specifically, the transition from a legacy state-owned portfolio holder to a disciplined, performance-driven, and investment-focused holding institution is designed to unlock the full value of its portfolios and serve as a catalyst for the transformation of the regional and national economy.

The Oromia Sovereign Fund (OSF) logo is a visual representation of our commitment to a strong, knowledgeable, and prosperous future for Oromia.

The logo color palette holds profound significance, drawing upon the rich cultural heritage of the Oromo people:

Black: represents the Oromo nation's devotion to the Almighty, leadership, and connection to the heavens.

Red: signifies sacrifice, prosperity, and the pursuit of freedom, highlighting the resilience and determination of the Oromo people.

White: represents peace, purity, and the clarity of milk, symbolizing our enduring aspiration for tranquility and harmony.

To OSF, the logo's color scheme further reinforces its aspirations that  black represents the lessons learned from the past, while white symbolizes a bright, promising future. The red elephant in motion embodies dynamic progress and a commitment to positive change, moving decisively towards a future of growth and prosperity for the region. Then again, in the logo the elephant signifies:
